Kabini River Lodge

Season

The River Kabini Lodge is a great place to visit any time of the year. But during the sweltering months of March, April, and May, the pools and springs in the forest dry up, bringing the animals to the banks of the River Kabini. Here you get to see the largest congregation of Asiatic Elephants in the wild. The monsoons (July, August, and September) has the trees lush and thick but promise fewer animal sightings. The other months promise a fair chance of animal and bird sightings.

Season

Bannerghatta shares the same climate with Bangalore; only that the green cover that the trees afford makes it more pleasant. Mid-June, July, and August, the monsoons turn the trees into lush green canopies while March, April, and May are the driest months. With temperatures ranging from 15°C to 28°C.

Bhimgad Adventure Camp

Bhimgad adventure camp located next to the Belgaum Golf Course (nearly 10 km) amidst the undulating countryside, the camp with its spacious cottages is an ideal holiday option for a golfing session in addition to being a getaway for nature walks or bike rides in the countryside. You could try your hand at pottery, visit the fort or Bhimgad caves – home to the critically endangered Wroughton’s Free-tailed Bat. Blackbuck Resort

Between October and February is ideally the best time to visit. The weather is mild and the surroundings are painted in shades of green. The summer months from March to mid-June are dry and sultry during the day and cool and pleasant at night. During July, August, and September, the monsoons offer a different experience of the place altogether.

Devbagh Beach Resort

Dubare Elephant Camp

Dubare Elephant Camp situated in Coorg, on the banks of the river Cauvery, which originates from the neighboring misty hills of Talacauvery, the tropical setting of Dubare draws a multitude of nature lovers who visit Kodagu (Coorg), the coffee capital of India. The camp is located in the Coorg district and enjoys idyllic weather conditions. The Camp is open throughout the year. Monsoons (July to mid-September) are heavy, but the swollen river makes it all the more interesting and the surrounding foliage is alive and vibrant. The post-monsoon months (mid-Sept to beginning March) is the ideal time to visit as the weather is perfect. Summers are pleasant since the camp is located in sylvan settings.

Galibore Nature Camp

For a true sense of escape, the Galibore Nature Camp, which lies deep in the deciduous forests on the banks of the River Cauvery is a good bet. Named after the windy hillock called Galibore that stands behind it, it lies truly isolated from what we call civilization. Surrounded by hills, where the wilderness takes on a deeper shade of green.

Season

The best time to visit is between August and February when the monsoons have graced the Camp and the river flows thick and swollen, and the forest is rich and green. This is the ideal time to spot birds as river terns, Fish eagles, woodpeckers, kingfishers, and many others flock in large numbers. In the drier months, the receding waterline reveals wide sandbanks where you can wade in the many lagoons. The summer months of starting from March to June can be extremely warm, especially in the afternoons.

Hampi Heritage and Wilderness Resort

Summers can be hot.  After the monsoons, the bouldered landscape and the paddy fields are awash with green. November to February is the peak season.

Gudi Wilderness Camp

The best time to visit Gokarna is between October and March. The summer months of April and May are warm. The coastal town of Gokarna receives heavy rainfall from June to September.

River Tern Lodge

Nestled in the Western Ghats the River tern lodge gets its name from the nearby island that attracts hundreds of river terns during the breeding season. Season

Ganesh Gudi is best visited between October and March. This is the time when the resident bird community is augmented by the migrants. The whitewater rafting season starts from November and goes on till June. The monsoon season (June – September) is when the forest is verdant. Between April and June, the weather is dry and warm.


Sharavathi Adventure Camp
